In fact, if you go to HP UK's store there are only 4 machines advertised (2 financials, the 10s and the 300s), none of which is the Prime and all of which are out of stock...

Worst scenario in Italy :-(
However a good seller (also on line) in North Italy has always Prime ready to send.

I did download the .zip file via ftp, but how does the Conn Kit make use of this?
There is «HP Connective Kit» folder in Documents folder. There is «Firmware» folder. Delete all from «Firmware» folder. Unzip «HP_Prime_Calculator_Firmware_20180124» (13 files) to «Firmware» folder. Now You can update calculator to the latest firmware.

Or rename Firmware to something like Firmware_20170710 so you can revert (I guess!) if you have to.

I do not know is it possible to downgrade HP Prime firmware or no.

If you're using Windows, copy all the files in the ZIP to

x:\users\username\Documents\HP Connectivity Kit\Firmware

Where x it the letter where you have your user files stored (usually C) and username is your user name. The CK looks there for the latest version.

Aha! I never thought to look there because I don't use the user area on my home system for anything. My practice has been to create a C:\alanstriegel directory and then put everything I care about under that.

Thanks for the pointer. Now it's running the latest firmware.
