not found in the Calc, but there is in its manual...
I was going to wait to post anything until the "update.xml" file that drives the automatic detection of updates was posted. Apparently, the old one was pulled down by the system and then the system proceeded to re-upload with a new date..... dunno. :?

The document updates are still pending as well.

Many of us patiently await your publication Blush

To load you can take a look at TiPlanet.org, a french site from where you can
download.

I struggled to obtain this one, but I was finally able to get it all through TIPlanet. What irony to have to get a very important HP calculator update through TIPlanet!
I suppose I was a little too anxious to wait.

I think its great personally!

The fact that Prime is either the #1 or #2 recommend calculator for France and has a high level of interest on the main european TI site speaks rather highly in my mind...

You would have been prompted to get the update except the stupid system that manages the files on that site seems to be constantly thinking up new ways to mess up. Smile

Oui. Bien sûr! Smile

Thanks for the link. I got the files from there with no problem.
Don't know if this happened before. On the real calculator push this sequence:
  1. APP
  2. Geometry
  3. Symb
  4. New
  5. OK
Calculator restarts. Someone else with the same experience?

It doesn't happen so with the virtual calculator.

Me too. Also on virtual calculator.
(01-31-2018 08:03 PM)Voldemar Wrote: [ -> ]Me too. Also on virtual calculator.

I cannot reproduce: in Geometry have already some curves, Symb -> in a void field New then OK I get "undef" in the field (then it is apparently not easy to delete it) but no restart, both HC and VC.
Are you start with a void Symb list or there are already items?

Not having real calculator, but my Virtual one inserts 'undef' into edited field.

Ok. I had started with an empty list, and it crashed. Now after I have entered an item it doesn't do that any longer. Now I can't reproduce this behaviour.

Tried again. Yes, inserts «undef». First time was application error and application closed.
Just tried after calculator reset, application error.

Günter

so it could be a bug related at the starting with an empty list...

Yes, definitely. Now I was able to reproduce the behaviour. On both, the virtual and the real calculator.
  1. Reset
  2. App
  3. Geometry
  4. Symb
  5. New
  6. OK

Real calculator restarts, virtual calculator shuts down, showing a Windows error message.

I can confirm it.
Just noticed on physical calculator. After update no more screen flickering when tap on battery symbol. Many thanks.
Since I haven't had the Prime for very long, I'm a relatively naive user of the Connectivity Kit. When I first acquired the Prime last last year, I updated the firmware using the Conn Kit.

Now when I tell it to update firmware, it shows the same version it already has:
"Update firmware: 20170710"

I did download the .zip file via ftp, but how does the Conn Kit make use of this?

Sadly there isn't that level of interest here in the UK.

In fact, if you go to HP UK's store there are only 4 machines advertised (2 financials, the 10s and the 300s), none of which is the Prime and all of which are out of stock...

try putting all file in the firmware folder in C:\Users\%your_user_name%\Documents\HP Connectivity Kit\Firmware

There is «HP Connective Kit» folder in Documents folder. There is «Firmware» folder. Delete all from «Firmware» folder. Unzip «HP_Prime_Calculator_Firmware_20180124» (13 files) to «Firmware» folder. Now You can update calculator to the latest firmware.
