I was supposed to have been an astronomer, but got spirited away by theatre in high school just as my math skills were getting warmed up. It took me longer than I like to admit to realize how wrong that decision (if one can call following the dictates of one's hormones a decision) was ... I was about 40 years old when amateur astronomy called me back to the True Road.

I am still not an astronomer (at least not a professional one), but I work in IT at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, MA & am starting to take math courses this summer ... if that isn't the next best thing, I don't know what would be!

I am also a member of the Springfield Telescope Makers of Springfield, Vermont.

Am enjoying exploring this wonderful site and learning to use HP calcs to aid me in getting my math back.
