I am retired after 35 years in the graphic arts. I participated in the evolution of the printing industry from hot type and letter press through photo-optical/offset into the world of digital direct to press. In the mid 70’s I had a part time job in the Army Logistics Management Center Book Store (Ft. Lee, VA) and remember selling the HP 65 – couldn’t keep them in the store! In the latter 70’s I used and programmed various TI and HP calculators to determine focal lengths and exposures for process cameras. My HP 48GX was used extensively to set up a customized printing distribution system during the 90’s.

Calculators - TI 59, HP 41C (both long lost unfortunately), HP 48 GX and currently having fun with the HP 71B
