hp50g calculator equivalent on android (no emulators)
Since here is a place with many people that care about calculators, I suppose someone checked the availability of good calculator programs on android (there was once a user posting a long list of those that used RPN).

Excluding emulators, that for me do not fit a touchscreen very well, which native application would you suggest that can match the abilities of the hp50g and runs on the device (so, no wolfram alpha)?

The best that I found so far is handycalc , but it matches the functionality of the sharp el506w, not of the hp 50g.

Update : it is impressive that after years of search engines and app stores (Google was a pretty good search engine already in 2005 and app stores started to be common in 2007) still some niche products are difficult to find through the store itself and a "community search" is more effective, like at the time of windows mobile 5 and 6 and Symbian s60.

RE: hp50g equivalent on android (no emulators)
Dunno, I'm asking.

For example on windows mobile there was a former version of what is now called mathstudio that, although was not like the hp50g math library, was quite close for graphing and numerical solutions. I do not know the actual status of the software, may be simpler (like the nspire was simpler than the ti89 at the start) or with a dismal input interface (on windows mobile smartphone version one had the keyboard that was less painful than the touchscreen, while on android, well...).

I'm positive that here, since there is a big love for calculators or - I would say - math engines, someone checked the possibilities on android.

Oh they have a pretty nice web interface too: http://mathstud.io/ , that's quite a work.

RE: hp50g equivalent on android (no emulators)
Thanks for the link.

As a side note, the suggestions of google play (even if google works on it since years) are a bit confusing. Whenever one selects matlab (using internet), wolfram(using internet), mathstudio (local app), hp prime (local app), gnu plot (local app), droidplot(local app), gnu octave (local app), and various simulators , google play (almost) never suggests as similar apps the others. To find the hp prime one has to know the name, for example.

RE: hp50g equivalent on android (no emulators)
Somehow google play helped more today.

I saw today on the play store:

- Casio classpad
- there is a lot more that do graphing/scientific but those do not match the 50g. Of course in some fields they are better, like graphing.

RE: hp50g equivalent on android (no emulators)
A good scientific Android app is RPNPlus: trig, hyperbolic functions, exponential, linear regression, Gaussian distribution and density, present value function (rate ENTER n PV: present value annuity factor)

I also like go25C (I know it's an emulator, but the keys are nice and big).

I will also throw in a recommendation for Maxima and xCas.

If you like writing your equations with a finger or stylus, check out MyScript Calculator.

Another good calc (RPN of course) is the RealCalc (plus).
It resembles the 35s, but is not an emulator.

Free version:

Paid version:
