HP41CL Question
I know the HP41CX has extra functions (unique features) like a Text Editor for ASCII files in extended memory, that are only found on this machine and are not included in the X-Functions Module.
I was wondering if the CL board included them all as well.

If someone who has one can clarify this I would be nice.
I'm planning on getting the board when it's available again (hopefully very soon!) for my tall-key 41C.

Thank you

De rien.

Si vous exécutez un CAT 2 sur la 41CL avec le gestionnaire de mémoire virtuelle désactivé, vous obtenez ce qui suit:
Code:
-TIME 3A
-CL TIME
-YFNZ 4F
-EXT FCN 3B
-CL EXT FCN

Cordialement,

Sylvain

Je n'ai malheureusement pas de CL encore. Monte n'en a plus. J'attends un nouveau batch...
Unfortunately I don't have the CL board yet. Monte has none left. I'm waiting... :-(

À quoi correspondent ces commandes?
What are these instructions?

Merci encore.

Je continue en anglais pour les autres utilisateurs du site.

Monte is currently planning a v5 board that will be able to store up to 1024 module images in Flash.
News are available here and here

If you do a CAT 2 (ROM module catalog) on a 41CX and on a 41CL you get the following:
Code:
__HP-41CX__    ____41CL___    ___DESCRIPTION________________________________________
-TIME 2C       -TIME 3A       Time module functions
-CX TIME       -CL TIME       Time module CX/CL supplemental functions
               -YFNZ 4F       41CL Extra Functions
-EXT FCN 2D    -EXT FCN 3B    X-Functions/Memory module functions
-CX EXT FCN    -CL EXT FCN    X-Functions/Memory module CX/CL supplemental functions
This catalog is basically a detailed proof to your initial question.

RE: HP41CL Question
Also, note that while the 41CL does include the XROM functions for the all the TIME routines (both Time Module and CX Time extensions) it does not include the actual timer chip w/crystal. But all you need to do is insert a normal 41C/CV Time Module.

Additionally, Monte has hinted that he is working on a Time Module replacement board, which, if (when) successful, should be far cheaper than the going rates on TAS.

Thank you again for this valuable piece of information.
My CX was stolen a couple of years ago along with my hp-il
interface and printer. Awaiting new ones in the mail next week.
I only have my old and reliable tall-key 41C at the moment.
I'll check those out when they arrive.
I'm planning on installing the CL board on the tall-key with a time module.
I like the feel of those taller keys.

Yes, I knew that already. I sure hope both the new V5 board and Time module are available soon. I've personally waited quite a while already to get them both.
Monte if you read this, please make it happen faster. ;-)
