RE: Allschwil Meeting 2016
I am looking at the travel time and cost to attend.
Could you put more details on the starting & ending time.
I am assuming its one day only.
Best regards,
Sylvain

We're planning to have the HPCC 'mini' conference on the 10th September this year, splitting it from the AGM which will remain in October.

Hi Sylvain

I would really like to meet you here in Allschwil.
Infortuantelly There is no time table yet, but general the meetin will start at about 10am and will finish with a meal in a local restaurant in the evening. So the meeting will held only on one date, but normaly there are people staying for 2-3 days.

Hello Matthias,
Great! Exactly the information I was looking for.
So I will need to leave Thursday afternoon (Montreal time) to be there on Friday afternoon (Basel time).
Do you have an hotel suggestion ?
Best regards,
Sylvain

RE: Allschwil Meeting 2016
Bon jour Sylvain!

Switzerland has a long tradition in tourism, so they do know their business. And they have their prices. Basle is squeezed to the French and German border, as such I suggest to look also in the environs for a hotel. For example in Grenzach (look here: http://binged.it/1TbfUp1 - Allschwil is to the west of Basle, Grenzach the first village river-upwards to the orographic right side of the Rhine). It has the advantage, that restaurants and hotels are typically a bit cheaper in general, it is served by the public transport of Basle going cross border, and (!) -- when you come on Friday eavening already -- we may have a pizza there, probably with Christoph, may be with Raymond, and everybody else who likes to join nonofficially before the Allschwil meeting.

Ciao.....Mike

Thank, Mike for your advice. Yes, in Germany / France it would be cheaper I guess and the location is still only 20 minutes away and you can reach it easily by bus / train. Depending on your premium language there imight also be a benefit of the french language for you.

RE: Allschwil Meeting 2016
I'm working on some simple battery-alternatives for the 41er and a sound expansion for the WP34s. Until the fall, I will surely have some done, so that I could show something.

Best regards from Reinach

As suggested by Günter Schink, I'd like to attend and present the replica HP-25 I've been working on, seen here: Recreating the HP-25, if it is possible, of course.

After 30 years I’m back in the Area-41

It’s a pleasure for me to attend this great event and meet well-known people physically!

RE: Allschwil Meeting 2016
I noticed Christoph Klug is not on the list - I recently tried to contact him but got no response, do we know his whereabouts?

As to attending the gathering I'm not sure the dates will work for me; maybe one day trip at best.
