WP-34S now comes to TI-NSpire!
Thanks to Zweb, the enthusiastic programmer of our Chinese community scalc.org, who ported the console version of 34S to NSpire, today we can use the greatest scientific calculator ever on the popular graphing calculator TI-NSpire!

Compared with the original console version, there must be more persons who can work with it.

● The operator only needs to memorize a mapping between WP 34S and NSpire. (Good news: many labels on the NSpire keyboard are still available)
● Arrow key works!
● The whole installation is very pocketable. You just install the ndless to jailbreak the NSpire and copy the .tns file and run it.
● The screen is clean & clear, with cool UI and nice anti-aliasing font. The only pity is that there is no longer valuable debug information.
● You can save the state!
● Unfortunately current version doesn't work on a clickpad NSpire.

Re-mapping Rule: Each key of 34S is remapped to a key of NSpire CX. Keys not listed below either have the same first function on both machines or are empty keys which remain the original functions (including second functions) of NSpire CX as labels printed.

Further information & developing status will be updated on scalc.org.

Spontaneous thoughts reading those news:
  1. Finally some use for the TI-nspire. Wink
  2. Pauli, did we want that?
Alas, my Mandarin is not sufficient to find any reference to the WP 34S running on the TI-nspire on scalc.org.

I think this is a marvellous effort, I personally wouldn't have used the console version. There are a number of things which don't work quite right there Sad

Why wouldn't we?

Not that we could prevent it even if we wanted to. The source code is open and freely usable by anyone.

Hey if you can't find anything last night (I mean hours before), don't worry. Your Mandarin is good enough to find out that there was no post about the 34S simulator... since most discussion happened on QQ group (something like IRC)

Now you can check the link and see how it looks like running on a real NSpire:

Xie(4) xie(4) ni(3). I can see even a bit more: seems there is a WP 34S with blank keys. Smile Can you confirm that? If true, is there anything you can say about its availability? I'm referring to this picture:

It's a painted hp-20b made by The_Andy. (Not a blanknut version of 20b Tongue)

You can check his blog:

He is a great fan of calculator painting. Here are his beautiful masterpieces ^_^
