It does mention using a 13-digit approximation of pi internally, for argument reduction. I apologize. I didn't know that document. According to it, there was made an improvement of precision, which calculates better results in the last digits of the mantissa. It could be very interesting to find (and understand) the firmware parts, which are affected. The register size and usage for final results however is the same as in HP-25.
