If you use an AVR based Arduino Uno you can get back to that.
They often have only 2 KB of RAM - though you have a lot more flash for program memory! I also take to heart Kernigham and Plauger's advice from "The Elements of Programming Style" from 1978: "Everyone one knows that debugging is twice as hard as writing a program in the first place. So, if you are as clever as you can be when you write it, how can you ever hope to debug it?" Also, in the new movie "Hidden Figures" Dorothy Vaughn steals a FORTRAN programming book from the library (It was in the white section of the library) to teach herself programming. They only showed it for a second, but I forgot to see if it was written by Daniel McCracken, who seems to have written most of the FORTRAN programming texts. 8^) |
