Thanks Didier, I looked for this but could not find it. I knew Dave had posted some pics of the 110+ batteries, but (casual) searching failed.

I believe the 110's battery is different then the 110+ batteries pictured in the above post.

That smp was able to run his Portable PLUS with out battery may not mean your 110 is defective. Check the service manual and refer to the troubleshooting procedures.
