How to add lines to a scatter plot

I want to plot some entered x,y points and show a line connecting the points. I know how to enter the x, y points and plot the individual points, but I cannot find how to add a line connecting the individual points. There must be a way to do this. I'd appreciate any help on how to do this. Thanks.
