HP41CV with transitional internal design
HI,
last week I bought an HP41CV sn 2128Sxxx...nothing special apparently. The calculator is in great shape except that one of the battery connections was burned. I opened it to change the flex connector and I was a bit surprised because I found that the board was attached with two plastic o-rings, just to press the board when the back side cover is present. I saw this in early HP41c with a couple of metalic nuts making the work themselves without the action of the back cover. In later 41C and CV the back cover evolved to press the board directly...I have many 41s and this is the first I have seen with this mixed mechanism. Maybe you knew this but I would like just share it. It is new for me. I enclose some pictures (the stuff in the holes is a little bit of vaseline) Kind regards [attachment=2589] [attachment=2590] [attachment=2591] |
