I have just acquired a vintage HP-15C to join my modest collection. Concerning the batteries subject, according to the original HP-15C Owner's Guide: "(...) In typical use, the HP-15C has been designed to operate 6 months or more on a set of alkaline batteries. As for the HP-15C LE, more processing power really consumes more current, despite all the energy optimizations available in the processor power management circuits.
