Did you contact the seller?
I understand this is required especially for new bidders on that auction site, otherwise the seller states that he/she will not consider the bid.
Also a phone number would be essential to call the seller and clarify the selling conditions.
I will ask my mother in law to call her sister in Moscow most probably tomorrow as it is too late ti call now.

No, I did not contact him. He seems very specific about not selling outside Moscow. So I thought there was no point in trying if I can't pick it up. Also I am not sure how he will react to a request in English.

Let's wait what she says.

Thanks,
Harald

My wife got home at 21h00 (mid-night in Moscow i think), so we could not contact anyone in Moscow, but she read the auction and you are right - The seller is very clear on that. No posting to anywhere, only collecting in South Moscow.
So there is no point in writing to him, even in Russian.

I got some details concerning a trip to the seller from my family home.

To be realistic, we are talking about a old woman living in North-East outside Moscow metropolitan area, so the only transport she could use is the bus service that takes at least 1 hour or maybe 2 hours depending on the traffic, just to reach the north blue metro line (1st station).
Then she would need to change to the green line at Revolution Square to go South to where the seller is delivering the goods. This metro trip would take at very least 55 minutes according to the metro site.
So we are talking here on a full day consumed on a trip to collect a calculator and back, and then going to the local Post Office to send it to you.

Tomorrow my wife will see if she can reach her aunt and see what she thinks about this, but don't count too much on it.
Apparently she have some heath issues and her son is busy working on weekdays and use his spare time to rebuild his house, so chances are not so good.

Meanwhile perhaps some other member living in Moscow will pop up here.
Who knows.
