And did it return to step 00 if CL PRGM was pressed in run mode (like e.g. the HP25)?

Dieter

My HP-65 does not support RCL arithmetic operations. If I press CL PGM in RUN mode and then switch to program mode '44' is shown which is the CL PGM instruction. Stepping only forward Smile and going back to where one would expect to see '44' again, it is not there.

My emulator doesn't do RCL arithmetic either, but I cannot find any reference to RCL arithmetic, only STO arithmetic in the copy of the manual that I have.

All ROM is used in the HP-65 so maybe there was not enough room to support RCL functions.

The HP-65 puts all key press values into a buffer and when switched to W/PGM mode, this value is used to display the key coordinate of the last key pressed. It did not get stored in program memory because the key press was in RUN mode.

44 is the CLx button ie [f] [CLx] -> Clear PRGM

cheers

Tony
