Hi Monte,

I didn't think V41 would be capable to act on those, so the implementation is just a mock-up to test the functionality?

I like the concept you've come up with, definitely a worthy enhancement.
My only request is don't remove the original RCLCFG 1/2/3/4 settings, i.e. make he new ones ad addition and not a replacement.

I see it "working" in V41 by watching the console for the various reads and writes
of MMU locations.

EXCFG, RCLCFG and STOCFG all work identically to before. It's just that now they
all accept 0-9 and A-F as arguments, where they only took 0-3 before. The PLUG
alias stuff would just be an optional addition for RCLCFG. You would still need to
set up the different secondary sets using STOCFG and or EXCFG. But once that
is done you don't have to remember which is which. Of course you lose everything
when the batteries are out unless you back up RAM page 804 to Flash.

Very clever scheme Monte; and I agree with Angel, please retain the original syntax as well.

For names, I'd prefer:

9FIN for Financial
9GAM for Games (since first and last chars must be unique, and 9FIN / 9FUN would conflict, right?)

Since there are 13 listed, seems 2 more are possible?

How about:

9LOP for HP-IL (Loop)
9CPX for Complex Math

I second keeping backwards compatibility. Assuming the IMDB in flash/ram internal flag is honored, shouldn't we be able to customize which CFG number each of these return? You've defined 13 of the 15. May I suggest 9ALT and 9CST for the remaining?

FWIW, I keep a cheatsheet with six common configurations I use, so extending beyond 4 is a welcome improvement!

There are actually 26 configuration LABELS available. The last character can be
any of A-Z. It is possible for multiple configuration labels to point at the same
configuration NUMBER; it's just a label for convenience so you don't have to
remember which is which once they are all set up.

The RAM version of the IMDB is only for editing; the PLUG functions always use
the version in Flash.
