HP 12c platinum silver face plate replacement - kamanlau - 04-25-2018 02:11 PM

Hi, I have two HP 12c Platinum with silver face plate. One of them is working perfectly but got some dents on it. The other one is out of order but having a comestically perfect face plate.
I would like to exchange their face plates so that I can get one perfect looking and working HP 12c Platinum.
Would you please share the procedure or your experience on how to remove the face plate from this HP model and reattach it back?

I would suggest swap the working innards to the good case.

The plate is stuck down , any attempt to remove will surely ruin it.

The PCB is staked down though, so you will have to take care when cutting off the tips to leave enough stake material to re-fix
