I own one made in brazil, keyboard is perfect.
It is a lil cutie. Coming from a 15C/11C background I love the form factor and size. Valentin's Tricky Trig spared its life from being a LCD donor for a bleeding 11c screen.
That said the 17s and 19's that have the solver/trig functions are probably the best value for the money. IMO.

Yes, but they're not RPN. Guess you meant 17B and 19B. IIRC, no trigs on 19BII?

Hmmm IIRC the 19BII RPN mode is in shift -> disp-> more. I thought the 17B was similar.

19BII (and presumably 19B) has trig. Even hyperbolics and Kelvin/Rankine conversions, for solving all manner of common financial problems.

I received the first one today: S/N 2702A56008, so 34 years old, Made in the US.
The Brazilian one should arrive next week and tomorrow I‘ll get an HP17BII+, chinese but the good one.

Kinda strange when that announcement occurred... as I own a 12C from a bit more than a year earlier than that, the s/n begins 2036A.... and the museum Collector's Corner page lists the earliest as 2031. While it did take much longer for products to make it from fab to retail shelves back then, and HP would have timed the announcement to come after items were in the stores, this full year gap seems strange.

I can confirm the Fall 1981 intro from another angle - Richard Nelson, Jim DeArras and I were flown to Corvallis a week before the 1981 PPC Calculator Conference, which was held on August 22nd. We spent the week beta-testing the 75C (which was still a year off) and a handful of HP-IL stuff (only a few months off) but while we were there, we ran into a guy (whose name I don't remember) who showed us the 11C and 12C prior to their announcement. We didn't even get to hold them in our hands, but he let us look at them....he was afraid that he'd get into trouble :-)

I have a Procalc FN1200c. It is similar to HP12C Platinum. It is very light! But I don't like the layout of the keys and the silver background with blue / red letters. Its advantage is that it is cheaper than HP12c.
I have three financial calculators: the FN1200c, the app with the HP12c and the HP30b. I love the latter and use it for everything.[attachment=9259][attachment=9259][attachment=9259]
