I just gotta ask. Putting cost aside, strictly on the basis of technology, could the HP-67 have been feasible in 1974? Could all the pieces, chipset, mag card mechanics, programming, low-heat/low power circuitry, and all the other components have been possible to create the HP-67 in 1974?

Thanks

I'd imagine so as they would have undertaken design work and preparation well before delivery of the product.

The NOV 1976 HP Journal with HP67 story mentions articles dating back to 1974.

cheers

Thanks!

I'll be honest from primary slide rule functions only HP-35 in 1972 to a nine register/100 step mag card programmable HP-65 in just two years is still an earth shattering progression in itself.
