Hello, this is my first post here, after 10+ years of lurking. Smile
I recently discovered a number of very cheap HP 39GSs on a big Chinese marketplace, and promptly purchased one.
Then I tried the CAS-Enabler aplet, but it looks like it doesn't work.
Is that aplet working on the 39G only, or I've missed something, given I'm more used to the HP 50G?
Thanks in advance for any explanation.
If I remember right the memory chip inside was smaller so the CAS code (40GS) couldn't even be flashed onto the 39GS. So there is no possibility to enable anything because it isn't there.
The HP 39GS is a great calculator for taking LCDs for repairing the 48G series. LOL!

There are tons of them from China as they are surplus. You can even negotiate with the sellers for great deals if you buy 5 or 10 of them.

I found it at http://www.hpcalc.org/hp39/apps/
The CAS Enabler Aplet A (details) 39/40 ENG 84KB
An aplet that turns your HP 39G into an HP 40G with IR. Also included is an article that describes a tricky method to enable the CAS.

And the 39GS should have a 128 MBytes Flash-ROM, the same of the 40GS...
Anyway thanks for the reply.

The 39G and 49G is but not the 39GS or 39G+, they use hardware that is similar to 49G+ and 50G.
