It's May the 4th also known as "MAY the FOURTH be with you day" for you StaWars fans.

I suggest a minor change and rename today:

"MAY the FORTH be with you day"

So that's why my GF is wearing lightsaber earrings and a Millennium Falcon pendent today! Nerds.

In France, today is super Star Wars day because this weekday is Jeudi.
So today was also "The return of the Jeudi"
