After weighing other options, the HHC 2017 Committee has decided to have HHC 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 16-17, 2017. The conference website is now operational, including the Registration Form, and the hotel (same one which hosted HHC 2012 and HHC 2015) is already accepting reservations at a special rate (for HHC attendees) of $119/night.

The Committee would like to publicly thank Monte Dalrymple for the large amount of time and work he put into exploring an alternative location: San Jose, California. He scouted out the local hotels, and got measurements of meeting rooms, and negotiated expenses, and took photos. Nashville was finally chosen instead, however, due to the large difference in overall cost per attendee.

If you notice any changes that need to be made to the HHC 2017 website, please drop me an email or PM. Thanks! Hope to see you in Nashville!
Thanks Joe,

that's a really early decision on the location. Although I would have preferred one of the alternate sites I'll see you at Brentwood.

"Hover your mouse over a state to see its nickname and motto" doesn't work for me on your website.

Günter
See yo there,

Thanks committee!

Strange; I checked it on a Windows computer running Chrome, and Safari, and Opera, and Firefox, and Internet Explorer. What system & browser are you using? Are either your system or browser ancient versions? Using a REAL mouse doesn't work; you have to use a computer mouse. Wink
Is it plugged in?
Excellent! ... See y'all in Nashville.
Thanks Joe!

Registered to attend!

:-)

For those who are thinking / planning to attend the HHC 2017 conference, what are you looking forward to most? And what sort of topics/talks do you hope to hear about?

It's really the fellowship and being there!

:-)
Is there a similar kind of convention in the UK?

If not, what scope do you reckon there may be to start one for such a niche demographic?

Ah! Good to know. I'm only 2½ hours from London by rail...

Seeing me in my home town of course! :-)
I attend the London meetings when I can, bring stuff! If you want something fixed that can be accommodated but need to give Us a heads up.

I make it to 60% of the meetings. New members are very welcome and we produce a journal known as data file.

Looking forward to some good catering in Nashville!
