Hi, I' trying to connect my HP71 with a 82163B HPIL Video interface, the interface works quite well and is showing a flashing cursor on the monitor, however, I cannot get any little character from the HP71 onto the display of the monitor. In the manual I find some commands for the use with the HP41, isn't there any possibility to use the video interface with the HP71?
Any help is very much appreciated, rhs

First, do "RESTORE IO" to be sure the loop is working, then try the command "DISPLAY is :DISPLAY" which tells the 71 to use the Display device on the loop as the system display.
thanks Bob, that was the right thing to do, thanks again, Kind Regards, Roland
