I was playing with my 35s today and after pressing the R/S key several times, a flashing Memory Clear message appeared on the display. I could not turn off the calculator with the LS-On key so I removed the batteries. After replacing the batteries the flashing Memory Clear message was still there. I also tried the reset on the back to no avail. Any idea as to what happened and is there a way to reboot this thing?
You're not the first to report this kind of problem. See this thread.

Have you tried shorting the terminals together?
Also ensure you have good batteries, this behaviour also occurs when the batteries start getting a bit low.

That is what I suspect-low batteries. I did not notice a low battery warning though.
