Have you ever removed the ink cartridge from your ThinkJet only to find this:

After gentle cleaning you discover that the ink has corroded the contacts.

Using a conductive ink pen to repair the contacts:

I could probably have had better results if I tested each contact before the test print.

I know that conductive ink isn't new to the forum. Is this a viable method for repairing 2225 flex cables?

Dave
It might work however just back of the plated contact the copper lines are laminated between layers of plastic and depending on how long the ink has been working on it it will have etched away some of the copper under the plastic so some surgery may be required. Of course it would be desirable to get as little as possible on top of the plated contact.
That's the most common problem in the otherwise robust thinkjet series. If yours is the 2225B, the IL unit, then it's monetarily worth it to find another type and change out the print head / cable. Many libraries used them and are still replacing them. The dam things wouldn't die.
