Hi,

As I like to be able to browse the calculator help on my iPad whilst working on the Prime I find it useful to keep a pdf copy of the help file to hand. For previous firmwares Erwin Ried had created such a file, but not for the latest 6975 firmware, so I embarked on the task myself.

I think most is a quite accurate representation of what is on the calculator, but there is bound to be a few characters that have not translated well into Excel/Word. I still think you will be able to work those out.

Update 18/01/15

I have now done the full help tree for 2014.12.03 r6975. This searchable pdf file can be downloaded HERE.

Update 28/04/2016

I have now done the full help tree for 2016.04.14 r10077. This searchable pdf file can be downloaded HERE.

Update 13/11/2016

I have now done the full help tree for 2016.10.17 r10638. This searchable pdf file can be downloaded HERE.

Update 27/12/2017

I have now done the full help tree for 2017.12.11 r13217. This searchable pdf file can be downloaded HERE

In case others may be interested, I have attached two pdf files containing the on-calculator help. The file named Catlg 6975.pdf contains only the help pertaining the commands listed in the catalog whilst the file named Commands 6975.pdf, contains more or less the full on-calculator help information (inclusive the Catalog). There is some repetition in the full file as many App commands are also listed in the Catalog, but I have left it in for completeness.

I think most is a quite accurate representation of what is on the calculator, but there is bound to be a few characters that have not translated well into Excel/Word. I still think you will be able to work those out.

Thanks Terje. This is going to be very helpful for me as I often use a tablet for side information.

Very thanks for your job very helpfull for all of us !
Is there a way to create a table of contents or an index for these documents? I only have Adobe Reader XI, and Word 2007 (which doesn't seem to be able to work with the pdf file). An alphanumeric list of the command and page number would be a great tool.

Thanks,

I've meant to ask in the past, but how are you doing this? Not manual copy/paste I hope. :-|

It's more work than I would wish to admit, mostly with the formatting. The extraction is more straightforward as TinyTask comes in handy copying the help text out of the emulator and into a spreadsheet.
In any event I like to have the help text to hand for review and exploration on the iPad and hope it is of help to others.

Thank you Terje!!!

Thank you +1 :-)
The file include Airy_Ai() and Airy_Bi() function help: are them included in the built-in catalog? I can't find them (I've a custom program from those functions)...

Hello,

Looks like the help pages shouldn't be active for those functions. They depend on the GSL to function and we can't include that directly due to the GPL license. So you'll need to keep your custom functions until/if a different way to calculate it not using the GSL gets created by either someone on the HP side, or Bernard decides to do it, or we're able to use a replacement for that functionality in some other way.

I understand, thank you Tim!
