Hi all,

now it's real!
We are planning a new Allschwil Meeting.

Like in 2008, the proposed date will be the 01.11.2014 (01. of November)
which is a Saturday, and during the famous 'Basler Herbstmesse' ,
so there would be occasions to free up your minds from calculators;-)

Possible topics (preliminary):

• Emulators
• Interconnectivity between HP-IL based calcs and PCs
• HP-IL virtualisation
• HP-IL Drive emulation with Arduino/PILbox
• Serial I/O for the HP-28S / HP-42S
• Serial I/O for the HP-41 via Systemyde 41CL upgrade board
• USB connectivity for the HP-41 via USB-41
• Occasion to see one or more of the rare DIY RPN calcs
• HP calculator repurposing projects like WP-34S
• HP calculator clones like the DM-1xCC series
• SpeedUI for the HP 48GX/G+
• HP Prime introduction
• Other new and/or updated hard- and software projects
• Occasion to meet and talk to some of the guys behind the above projects
• and more

like Angel Martin, Christoph Giesselink, Daniel Diggelmann, Dominik Holenstein, Geir Isene, Giancarlo, Guenter Schink, Jean-Francois Garnier, Juergen Keller, Manfred Kuenzler, Marcus von Cube, Massimo Gnerucci, Meindert Kuipers, Michael Fehlhammer, Michael Steinmann, Mike (Stgt), Pascal Gervaix, Tobie Niggli, Walter B., and Wlodek Mier-Jedrzejowicz.

That's 22 (including our host Matthias and me)

Yeaaaa... that sound great. We will have a new attenders record this year
As Raymond said, we are looking for workshops among us, so if you cracks have a specialty feel free to let us participate. We all remeber Rainers theodolit presentation as well als first demonstations of hardware / software premiere from differnet HP cracks.

As I can not present my full collection I will manage the dinner, help you with hotel reservation and a sightseeing on the famous "Herbstmesse". If you need further informations, please let me know.

Up to now we had four HP-Collection meetings here in Allschwil: 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008. I just reactivated two old meeting reports:

The world famous theodolite demonstration of Rainer Meng is not reported. So we have to remember by dreaming with te following pictures.....

Is there something nice to see over there?

For peolpe, who have to travel more than 30 Minutes it makes sence to stay for 2-3 days. The date is well taken: we have the famous "Basler Herbstmesse" then, as well as Basel itself is a beautifull city.

I hope to join too this year...

I'd quite like to drive (from the UK) but presumably there is a reasonably high chance of snow? (And presumably winter tyres are required by then?)

In Basel no winter tyres are required since some years, at least not before chrismas
