MacBook High Sierra 10.13.4 with Safari 11.1
(In my world there are 3 pages in total to that thread and somebody just added to it today, I've no idea if that poster is the problem post though)

If I load page 2 or 1 it's ok
If I try and add a post or just read page 3, my browser just won't let me .....

<shrugs shoulders>
No issue for me with Firefox, Chrome or Edge (tested on Android, Linux & Win10).
Have you tried to clear your browser cache?
Same (meaning it doesn't load) with Safari on my iPhone IOS 11.3

Seems to be Apple-related. The page does not contain anything special, except some formulas that require Mathjax to be displayed.
But the currently last poster (Gerson) also said:

"Speaking of compatibility, there's no way I can read this page on any of my Apple devices, except on the old iPhone 4 I'm using right now. Not sure whether it's my fault or Apple's... "

Maybe this leads into the right direction.

Apple's fault, of course...
Seems to be an issue with Safari. Disable JavaScript and that page loads fine but doesn't display properly. The big formula seems to be the problem.
Weird , it loads ok on my iPad Pro12.9 but not on the MacBook Pro13

Anyway, I can read it now on the iPad, thanks
if you have an entire mac computer (not only a smartphone/tablet) just install firefox or chrome. They will work too.

Agreed! Operational systems have to be user proof :-)

Anyway I will copy my post to the test forum later and will edit it if I find what's causing the problem.

I'd tried Chrome on both on iPhone 7 and iPad mini 2 with iOS 11.3.1. Opera woudn't work either.

It appears that was indeed the problem, but only when Text Size large option is selected. I've removed the option and it's ok now. Thanks!

PS.: Thanks also Zaphod, for pointing me to this thread.
There’s still an issue, but I can live with that. When I initially get to the page in portrait mode, the contents of my post past the problem formula is not shown. When the device is rotated for landscape mode they show up and will remain, no matter the screen mode. At least the rest of page 3 doesn’t get locked anymore.
Again, the tiny old iPhone 4 is the only one of my three Apple devices that doesn’t choke with that.

PS: I’ve left-justified the formulas. This appears to have solved the latest issue. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Works ok now on my MBP13, without any intervention from me or alteration of my setup at all

Same here for me with my 2011 MBP. This morning, I confirmed the problem for myself, and now all is fine.
