Solving the problem of "HP49 Crashes when installing libraries in Flash ROM (Port 2)"

Posted by HPunk® on 15 Dec 2002, 8:21 a.m.

The HP49, mainly the emulator, may lock when installing libraries in port2, the only way to get out is the hard reset, and this causes a "Try To Recover Memory?".

The solution is fairly simple: 1 - Download the library and recall it to stack. 2 - Install it in PORT 1. 3 - Do an ON+C 4 - Go to filer application 5 - Move from port 1 to port 2. If it locks during, you may have to do an hard reset, but this time it won't do a TTRM, just an Invalid card data, that is cured by an OFF-ON and the libraries will not be moved.
