Prime Emulator Connection Problem
Message #1 Posted by John Colvin on 14 Dec 2013, 7:18 p.m.

I just downloaded and installed the latest version of the Prime Emulator and it does not recognize the USB connection to the physical HP Prime. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the new emulator?

It does. There is a new menu called "Connect To" in your emulator. Your calcualtor will show up in there by name. You need to tell it where you are connecting to. Before, the connection could be grabbed by several different things and you'd never know where exactly the communication was going.

For example, did it go to the second emulator that was up, the connectivity kit, 3 usb connected calculators, or the 30 running on your wireless network... (granted the last ones are probably only a problem for me right now)

Thanks Tim.

I wasn't aware of the connect menu option. That solved the problem.

Is it a USB 3.0 or 2.0 port? Some users have reported that the version matters.
