HP 41CV Repairs Message #1 Posted by William Mabotja on 20 Nov 2013, 1:23 a.m. Morning I am having an old HP 41CV which need some repairs.The problem is that if I put in new batteries,it only turns on once and the batteries are flat in an eye's wink.The batteries are very hot when you touch them and they do not have power any more.Any suggestion how this can be fixed is appreciated. Kind Regards William Mabotja Hi, I think, in this case, that there is at least one diode (or a capacitor) in short. Depending your skills in "electronics", you may be able to repair by yourself... Otherwise, you can follow Garth Wilson's sugestion. Good luck
