HP Prime - Connectivity kit purpose
Message #1 Posted by bluesun08 on 11 Nov 2013, 9:44 a.m.

Two questions:
1. What is the whole purpose of the Connectivity Kit?
2. What can i do with this tool what i cannot do with the calculator or the emulator?

1. The final goal is to edit/create any supported calculator object from a PC interface (right now just the prenamed, built in objects are supported), use things that others have made from downloads over the internet, provide a great programming environment or environment for making notes, and similar things.

2. You cannot from a calculator interact with a whole networked system of devices, monitor classroom activity, send polls/quizzes for students to respond to questions and display graphs dynamically of the results. Another thing you cannot do is update the firmware of one device from another.

You left out another extremely important feature:

Backup of calculator contents to PC.
