Dedicated HP calculator programming-hardware-bug website? Message #1 Posted by Geoff Quickfall on 4 Oct 2013, 3:05 p.m.
Hello all programmers, bug and hardware specialist:
I am looking into a dedicated site with server specializing in specific HP calcs, a clearing house of the problems associated with newer HP calculators. An offer of a server has come up however, being involved with the CL wiki; there were definite lack of use problems.
This came up due to the fact that this site is woefully inadequate for discussions involving the new trendy hardware. It occurred with the 15LE, the WP34S and now the Prime. The pertinent discussions and postings have a very short half-life, especially when a conversation pops up. This pushes previous topics down and off to the history archive site.
It also buries other topics concerning not so popular systems, such as HP67 keyboards, displays on 48gx and etc. After al, this is a Museum site, I don’t think we can assign the PRIME, HP41CL or the WP34S to the museum just yet ;-)
With that in mind, and because there is no polling option here, would a dedicated site such as the example below actually have a chance? Or are other sites including this enough? Any thoughts would be appreciated
