HP42S and IR printer
Message #1 Posted by matti on 9 June 2013, 4:57 a.m.

Hi all

Last week I was able to purchase (almost) a mint HP42S in one auction (21euros, not bad). I feel lucky now. I have had earlier his calculator but the first one was really worn out when recalculating my dissertation results. I remember that it cost 700 Finnish marks at that time (1990) which would be 175 euros today. Now I use this "second one" in my daily work.

My Q: what is the difference (if any) between HP 82240A infra red printer and its B version with HP42S?

best wishes, matti (Finland)

Buon giorno, Massimo,
I sometimes wonder how you remember those old threads.

Hyvää päivää, Matti,
An almost mint 42S usually goes for ten times as much. Congratulations!

Hi Massimo, hi Walter , hi all! Actually it's to be said that when you need to know something more about a hp calculator (and not only!), an issue or something you have not yet met till today, just go on google and type what you need: at 99,9% you will be redirected to our wonderful site and its archives...and you will find the answers! Isn't it wonderful? what we need else?

Hi matti: 21 EUROS for a near mint 42s: good shot, good shot!

Hi Aurelio!
What you say is true, but if you restrict the search to this very site and add a subject line, names of people you remember, other hardware or software cited, then you will find it in a breeze...
;-)

Greetings,
Massimo

Sorry Massimo, forgive me, of course, for you is simpler, you are a "senior" member and for this reason you have the historical memory of the knowledge stoned in this place. ;-)

un abbraccio

Good article about this: "HP Solve: Issue 18 (April 2010)" (pages 7-14)
