OT: Forth on Sharp PC-1500
Message #1 Posted by Bill (Smithville, NJ) on 6 Dec 2012, 1:13 p.m.

I'm hoping that someone can help me.

A few years ago, I corresponded with several of the members here about Forth on the PC-1500. I know I sent the WAV file with instructions to several people.

I've had a problem with my email address that I was using then, and have lost the emails that I sent that had the instructions on how to load the program from the wav file. I remember that after loading, you needed to do a poke to memory to get the thing to run.

Does anyone have a copy of my email to them with the instructions?

I still have the WAV file, I just don't have the steps to do after loading.

I'm wanting to see if the forth will load and run on Olivier De Smet's go1500 emeulator for Android.

Appreciate the help.

Bill

Hi Bill,

I am very interested to get a WAV or a binary image of the FORTH. May you send me this. I will look if I can find where to start the FORTH.

Thx.

Christophe

Hi Christophe,

Please send me an email and I'll send you a link to the WAV file. You'll need a 16K memory card installed and I think a 1500A. I seem to remember that it didn't work on the 1500.

Also, there are two or three memory pokes required to set up the memory space after loading the WAV file.

I'm still hoping that someone has kept the instructions I had emailed to them.

Thanks to Philippe, I now have the memory addreesses.

Now to see if I can load it onto the emulator.

BTW, I spent quite a bit of time this past weekend playing with Olivier's PC1500 emulator, and I must say I'm very impressed with it. I loaded a bunch of old radio shack basic programs using the Tape files, and it's a lot of fun.

Bill
