Single Level X^2 for HP-35...Any ideas
Message #1 Posted by Matt Agajanian on 11 Aug 2012, 10:01 p.m.

Hi all.

Although both the HP-35 and its progeny, the HP-21 don't have an x^2 key, I figured out for the 21 that X [STO] [g/blue shift] [Mx] [CLx] [RCL] keeps the T register intact and replaces x with x^2. An option for the 35 would be to R^ (3 Rv) and store the T reg; roll once more and then [ENTER^] [*] [RCL] [Rv] which would achieve the same result. Has anyone come up with another single level stack trick for the x^2 operation on the HP-35?
