Message #1 Posted by Kerem Kapkin (Silicon Valley, CA) on 2 May 2012, 5:40 p.m.

This is the most expensive HP-12C I have ever seen. It is listed as EA, each. LOL...

HP-12C from buy.com

Guess they won't be overloaded by orders.

According to the buy.com site, the machine does not have a square root key. When people realize that actually it does, the price may really go through the roof!

Makes me wonder how much Joerg's TI-88 is going to finally go for on eBay.

Probably not for $8,888.88 (wishful thinking) but we saw $888, $1,888 and right now 1,888.88 on it ;-))

Have a great week.

Cheers, Joerg

I will raise my bid to pi(1000 sqrt(8) + 1) , just in case! ;-) (*)

Cheers,

Gerson.

(*) Just kidding! I'm not bidding on this one.

At least it's cheaper than the $23,698,655.93 book about flies. I wonder if this is the result of a similar automated pricing scheme.

Speaking of lower price...and yes, I realise it's probably a vintage Voyager 12C, unless it is a Vintage build with a YYWW serial number, I can see it going for collector's price but, if the bidders are just folks wanting a 12C, why not buy a new one for a considerable bargain (<$200 instead of $10K)?
