Hi all;

on trying to find pictures of the HP7470a @ Google Images, I found this one (flicker public image, address: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6145/5988266592_209cc97805.jpg)

I did not know it, and I think it is a very interesting, strong picture. It seems to be from the very first days when the HP41C was introduced. Does anyone have a higher resolution image?

I like it!

Cheers.

Hello Luis,

that's not an HP7470A which is a 2-pen plotter, can be used with an HP-41C with HP-IL interface card.

Hi;

I am sorry I did not express myself correctly... I was aware of that, I just did not know of this picture showing the whole HP41 system, as I wrote in my original message:

I was actually trying to find a better picture of this one. And thanks for calling my attention ;)

Cheers.

Hi Luiz,

I hope you are doing well. There is a slight chance that a can find a copy of that advertisement, but it may take a long time, because (in case it's still there) the magazine with the ad is stored in a rather inaccesible documentation deposit and I'm currently very busy. If I find a time slot to go there, I'll try to find it for you... please be patient.

Just from my memory (but rather convinced): I think the ad, or a very similar one, appeared in the September 1979 issue of Scientific American magazine (USA edition). It was the special annual issue, with many articles about a main topic; in this occasion the main subject was "The Brain". It was the first official reference about the HP-41C, at least for me.

Ola, Andrés; ¿que tal?

Thank you very much! Please, feel free not rushing about the hi-res image. As you mentioned, I was wondering if this add was one of the very first appearances of the 'old granny' or not, due to the

[*NEW HP-41C*]
message in the LCD.

Muchas gracias.
