Not sure I'm in love with the keyboard though; in my experience, using keys like that is an exercise in frustration. That is a great idea. As I have given up hope that HP will ever deliver a bug free firmware, I would even consider paying that porting effort!

Alexander, even if this is genuine code in his clone, do you seriously consider it being bugfree? Or more reliable than the emulated 15C by HP? Remember, there's currently no way to get the original 15C LE firmnware back into the machine! Hier könnte sehr gut der Teufel mit dem Beelzebub ausgetrieben werden.

I omitted the last part of the sentence not for the bad. "doing the exact same thing", in my eyes, means a plain copy. Obviously I'm wrong here since, as you've pointed out, there's the firmware available.
