WP34s Ready to Flash My 30b, but no cable.
Message #1 Posted by Barry Reeves on 17 Nov 2011, 4:12 p.m.

I've got a new HP30b, the firmware for the WP34s, and a brand new set of overlays. My computer has a serial card installed. I'm basically ready to go, but I don't have the programming cable. I see everyone here referring to Gene's cable. How to I go about ordering one of these cables?

The WP 34s is the most exciting calculator that I've heard about in a long time. I'm looking forward to playing around with it.

Please just contact Gene Wright, e.g. via museum mail :-)

I've sent some e-mail. But if he responded, I must have missed it. I don't want to pester him.

No pestering! :-)

just send it to my first and last name with no spaces at a very HOT form of MAIL but put 143 before the @.

It will make an email address that is 13 letters/numbers long before an @ symbol.

I would prefer not to just post it here. I don't need any herbal remedy emails. Have enough of those already. :-)

For some reason, the forum does not properly send me emails about 1/10th of the time.

Maybe it ends up in the spam folder? Or it is rejected but the forum system does not forward this info to the original sender.

No, the spam folder has never had any museum-related emails in it.

all very weird.

Did you receive my mail from two days ago?

Hi Raymond.

Sadly, no email. No spam either.

IIRC, there are some mail providers that put some of the SPAM in a dedicated folder and some mails are deleted altogether before the recipient has even a chance to see them. Maybe this is the case here?

Just got email from Raymond...
