WP34S : RMDR remark in the manual
Message #1 Posted by Miguel Toro on 21 Sept 2011, 1:25 p.m.

Hi,

I think that, what is implemented in the WP 34s is RMDR(y/x) = y-x*IP(y/x).

The HP 42s implements MOD(y/x) = y-x*INT(y/x), where INT(A) is the greater integer less than or equal to A.

For example:

42S: 7, +/-, ENTER 3 MOD -> 2

34S: 7, +/-, ENTER 3 RMDR -> -1

The HP 71b implements both functions. So maybe the remark could say : "Equals RMD on HP 71B and HP 16C".

Saludos,

Miguel

Thank you Gerson

So I suppose that the manual should be updated then. An I read that maybe MOD could be implemented in the future.

Regards and thanks again,

Miguel
