wp34s: Version 979 Crashed 20b and 30b
Message #1 Posted by Jake Schwartz on 31 May 2011, 6:24 p.m.

Hi,

I just loaded version 979 onto my 20b and 30b and after just a few keystrokes, either machine locks up, requiring pulling the batteries. I just did 2 ENTER 5 * and by the time * was pressed, it was unresponsive. I reflashed one of my two machines a second time, but there was no change.

Thanks,

Jake

Try 975 for the moment. 979 has a space optimisation included that isn't finished yet.

The most recent update should have fixed the issue. I was saving some space in flash by replacing 4 byte wide function pointers by 2 byte short integers. I learned something about the ARM processor on the way. ;-)
