hp48gx pc cable
Message #1 Posted by tim peterson on 10 May 2011, 6:52 p.m.

I have an HP48gx with an HP standard PC cable. However my computer does not have this particular version of serial connection. Is there any relatively simple way to come up with an adapter setup? I have the 48 and the cable for something like 15 years, haven't used them for at least 8 years, and need help. Thanks in advance.

Any USB to serial converter should do nicely. The ones made by FTDI or containing their chips are renowned. I have no problems with my setup where Windows resides in a virtual machine on my Mac but controls the FTDI adapters.

OK, thanks for the quick response. I'll give that a shot.
