HP-15C Original UK Purchase Price
Message #1 Posted by SteveH on 3 May 2011, 2:59 p.m.

I'm just wondering what the original price of an HP-15C purchased in the UK in 1983 might have been.

I suspect it was a major investment (my father made in me) at the time and curious how it translates to 2011 prices.

HP15C £107.41

which today is equivalent to at least £266.00, according to MeasuringWorth.com.

IMHO, the investment was rather formativ than material. The early exposition to RPN shaped my expectation of how well designed engineering work should feel like in the hands of the user/consumer.

That's the "real value" of this investment.
