May I summarize FOSSIL's idea in one word: STUPID!

I will rely on conservation of energy to explain why I feel this is a boondoggle. Of all the tablets/phones/ect.. devices I use, why pick the smallest one to act as a radio-repeater?? It has the smallest battery, the most disadvantaged antenna, and although it's further from center-of-mass, the user's arm in the near-field all day (that is the 20% of the time it's not being charged).

There is a reason Crocodile Dundee didn't pull out a multi-function swiss army knife when he said THIS IS A KNIFE! You wouldn't look for a computer that makes cookies or a document scanner/lawn mower, either?

High-end wristwatches, and before them pocket watches are not problems looking for a solution - they are fashion accessories who are most prized when they do the two things they do best- look nice and tell time - without the hassle of charging batteries, updating OS's or resetting.

Of course, the new 'watches' will have an automatic movement ;-).
