hp 82175A thermal paper
Message #1 Posted by Marcelo Vanti (Brasil) on 30 Nov 2010, 10:44 a.m.

Hello,
I have been using the thermal paper HP 82175A with my
calculator printers HP 97, 82143 and 82240. Recently
I did see in a KEY NOTES issue ( June 1982) that " Using the new
black thermal paper (HP 82175A) in your HP-91/92/97 will cause
premature printhead wear ".
Did its true? Have somebody experimented some trouble like that
before?

Do you use your HP-97/printers daily? If not I suppose it's not a problem. I use cheap replacement paper as you'll find in most office shops, no problems encountered, but I must confess I only use the HP-97 occasionally. Probably there are some power users out there, or someone who has some experiences to share from the good old days?
