HP 9820A
Message #1 Posted by Conny A on 24 Sept 2010, 3:50 p.m.

Just curious, but how big interest is there in the HP 9820A calculator? I have plans to sell it, maybe on eBay.

Hi Conny
Very interesting. I see that you reside in Sweden. I'm living in Denmark. So I might be interested.

Best regards

The calculator is in near mint condition. I would like to say mint, but it has been used. The electronics is also old, so there is no guarantee that the electronics will last for a long time if the plan is to use it.

I have tested the electronics using the electrical test programs and all seems in good condition.

It has been stored in normal room conditions, that is around +20 degrees C. No smoking or other contaminations.

I will post some photos later.

Beautifully perserved 9820, Conny. Looks like a great collector's piece. More on the history of this machine's development here: HP 9810/20/30

Working now for me as well. The site must have been down temporarily.

The calculator is indeed in beautiful condition. The OP should have no trouble finding it a new home--preferably mine. ;)

That is indeed a beauty! I can offer a very caring and clean home for it :) Good luck with the auction. Good luck to the eventual winner too!
