HP-67 Auction Message #1 Posted by aj04062 on 6 Sept 2010, 9:50 p.m. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-HP-67-Calculator-HP-67-/170537031368?pt=Calculators&hash=item27b4cc96c8 Does anyone agree with me that the possible reason why this calculator works as describes is because it doesn't have the battery?

An HP-67 or HP-65 will work fine powered from the ac adapter w/o a battery present. The card reader sensor may be damaged, affecting card reader operation, but the main logic circuitry and display will not be affected.
