I see this as a likely case of miscommunication.
I think you were really pointing out a problem with his description that reads "the printing function also worked, though there wasn't ink." Since it uses thermal paper, it would seem that the printing function doesn't work and he should change the description.
The seller's response indicates that he didn't see the connection between your message and the inaccurate description. Without making that connection, he thought you were just pointing out some meaningless detail of the calculator, like the fact that it uses BCD. If he had any sense of professionalism, he would have written something like "I don't understand why you're telling me this" instead of his rude response.
So both your question and his response left out the main parts of the communication - that the description may be inaccurate and that the seller didn't understand why you were writing.
